“Come, come, whoever you are. Wanderer, worshiper, lover of leaving. It doesn't matter. Ours is not a caravan of despair. come, even if you have broken your vows a thousand times. Come, yet again , come , come.” Rumi

Islamic extremism..let's tackle the causes of the virus, not the symptoms..

I understand that when it comes to Muslims, media is bias.
I understand that all these "terrorists" that flourish like mushrooms are usually sick and deranged young men and women.
I understand that many secret services may take advantage of these young lunatics and easily "convince" them to plot against their host/birth country in the name of Islam.
I understand that the vast majority of the terrorists' victims are actually Muslim people.
I understand that Islam has nothing to do with what these killers claim.
Let's not forget that there is indeed an interpretation of Islam that radicalizes young people and transforms them into killers..
hundreds of young men and women from the north of Morocco are being recruited to join Daesh. They believe they're being good Muslims.
We can't keep saying "well they are not Muslims, they don't represent Islam"..Remember that that's what we do every time "a terrorist act"happens. We start focusing on how unfair the media is to Muslims, on how the same thing happens daily in Iraq, Syria, Palestine while the media doesn't really care..
And we forget that the extremists are taking advantage of our approach.
I think that we should change our approach.
Our audience should be our own compatriots or coreligionists.
We have to make them understand that we refuse the radical interpretation of Islam. Our concern should not be what the western media think but how to immune our young men and women from the virus of extremism.
We should not wait for terrorist acts to happen for us to start dissociating ourselves from these extremists, as if all we care about is the non Muslims 'opinion of Islam..
we should instead spend every day that God makes to find ways and convince/force the elected politicians in the Islamic countries to do their job and start reforming the education system as a first and crucial step to challenge the obscurantism...

But that's just my opinion..
